Foley High School Profile
Foley High School has a 2015-2016 enrollment of over 600 students in grades 9-12. Foley is a city located in Benton County with a population of about 2,612. Our varied curriculum is composed of 13 departments which offer over 116 classes.
Students must take the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA) in Reading, Science and Mathematics in the respective year offered. Additionally, students must take an approved College/Career Readiness assessment.
The schedule consists of seven 50 minute classes meeting five days per week. Students generally take six classes plus one study hall. The school year is divided into two semesters of 18 weeks each.
Credits and Grades
One credit is awarded for each class successfully completed each semester. Final semester grades are given two times a year at the end of each semester grading period. These grades are used for calculating G.P.A. and class rank.
College Credit Courses
Our seniors have the opportunity to earn college credits through the Senior to Sophomore programs at St. Cloud State University and Southwest Minnesota State University.
